Cradle Mountain
Discovery Resorts Cradle Mountain is located in the rainforest amid native wildlife. It is situated on the edge of Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park, only a few-minutes' walk to the Visitor Center. The property features a restaurant, a lounge bar, and self-contained accommodations.
Hellyers Restaurant serves Tasmanian cuisine on small plates designed for sharing. Sensational Tasmanian wines are a perfect complement to your meal. All dinner reservations are required to be booked through the hotel's online portal.
The Wilderness Lounge serves morning coffee made by baristas and offers a daily happy hour. This is a great place to relax or enjoy a pre-dinner drink.
The self-contained accommodations are equipped with a kitchenette, living-dining-sleeping areas, electric heating, and electric blankets. Romantic rooms equipped with a gas fireplace or spa bathtub are available. Family rooms have either twin beds or bunk beds.
Complimentary Wifi is available to guests in the reception area, Wilderness Lounge, and Hellyers Restaurant. There is no Wifi elsewhere on the property due to the wilderness location of our guest accommodations. Depending upon your mobile phone service provider, you may not have phone or data service.
Discovery Resorts Cradle Mountain is a great place to stay for couples, families, and groups of friends. It is an ideal base for exploring the National Park or experiencing a romantic get-away.
There is space for 1 vehicle to be parked at each chalet. Additional parking is available near the reception.
**All visitors to the National Park must have a current National Parks Pass before they can enter the Park. Visitors can then walk a half mile down from the Resort to the Visitor Center and obtain a bus pass that will grant you on and off access all day within the Park.
**You can buy a small assortment of items from one of the service stores on the mountain. We recommend stocking up on all groceries and essentials for your wilderness experience before leaving your nearest major town.
